Jordan Regg got the win for Schenevus with 10 strikeouts. At the plate, Mehki Regg hit a triple and Trevor Schneider hit a double.

Milford/Laurens pitcher Martin Thorsland managed 15 strikeouts in the losing effort. Wyatt March and Chase Long had an RBI apiece.

The Hawkeyes scored all six of their runs in the third inning. Treston Emerick had the big bat, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a double. Braydon Hascup, meanwhile, went 2-for-3 with a double and Ian Poole also went 2-for-3.

Cooperstown scored at least one run in every inning of Monday’s 12-3 victory over West Canada Valley.

Emerson Toulson went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Hawkeyes’ offense. Braydon Hascup also went 2-for-4 while Bryson Whitaker drove in two runs.

Treston Emerick, Liam Ford, and Ethan Kukenberger threw a combined two-hitter in the victory.

Cooperstown (6-4 overall, 5-2 league) will host Herkimer on Wednesday.

The Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs softball team was able to hold off a Franklin rally on Tuesday and hold on for a 20-19 win at home.

Trailing 20-11 entering the seventh inning, Franklin scored eight runs in the frame before finally being put away.

Brin Whiteman went 3-for-4 with three runs scored to lead CVS/SS. Joleen Lusk, meanwhile, tripled and had two hits, as did Cendra Crawford and Lydia Lusk. Emma Whiteman added a double. Mia Dubben had eight strikeouts on the mound to earn the win.

For Franklin, Kayla Campbell went 3-for-5 with five runs scored while Zoe Warren hit a triple.

The Indians overcame an early 4-0 deficit by scoring three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. Kalen Barnhart was the winning pitcher and hit a double for Richfield Springs.

Milford defeated Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs 28-6 in the Tri-Valley League softball semifinals on Monday, as Milford was bolstered by a 13-run first inning.

Milford's Leeanna West threw 11 strikeouts for the win on the mound. At the plate, West hit a double and drove in five RBIs, Lexi Sutphin hit a triple and drove in five RBIs, Bella Garlick notched a double and Kara Mertz had three hits and four RBIs for Milford.

Milford (10-1 overall, 7-1 league) will face Schenevus in the TVL championship game on Friday.

Tyler Zakala won in second singles for OHS, while the Yellowjackets won both doubles matches thanks to the play of Isaac Wooden and Ryan VanValkenburg, and Tobias Carter and Simmone Segal.

Gunter Weldon had Cooperstown’s lone victory, winning 6-0, 6-0 in first singles.

Gunter Weldon, Justin Wolfe, and Natalie Hanson all won in singles play, while the teams of Liam Spencer and Aidan Spencer, and Addison Lewis and Ashlyn Wolfe won in doubles.

On Thursday, Weldon won the Center State Conference first singles title while Justin Wolfe made it to the semifinals of the second singles competition.

Max Jones led the Hawkeyes with a round of 42. Rounding out the scoring were Charlie Lambert (50), Ellie Dykstra (68), and Owen Tedesco (69).

Jordan Rivette had the low round of the day for Adirondack with a 41.
